‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 7 spoilers: Jane as … teacher?

While there may not be much in the way of “Rizzoli & Isles” coverage coming soon with there not being a new episode airing on TNT Monday night, we’re not stopping with some of our own coverage! It is with that in mind that we bring you the first bit of news about the upcoming July 18 installment otherwise known as “Dead Weight,” one that is going to present you with a couple of interesting stories … especially when it comes to Jane potentially taking on a new role than we see her in.

Take a look at the just-released synopsis, which was updated first onto SpoilerTV:

“When a bicyclist appears to spontaneously combust, Maura proves his bizarre death is actually a murder and helps catch the science-savvy killer. Meanwhile, Jane’s invited to teach a class of FBI recruits at Quantico.”

We of course imagine a few rather-fun things happening over the course of this hour, but we wonder is this means we’re getting the “Rizzoli & Isles” – “Quantico” crossover that so many demand. Will Jane help Alex Parrish save America? (Okay, we’re kidding … mostly. They’re on different networks, people!) Above all else, this episode will probably succeed thanks to this fish-out-of-water element for Jane coupled with what seems to be on paper to be a really interesting, science-based mystery for Maura. Any change to give her something that causes her to think outside of the box is certainly something we will celebrate.
