‘Devious Maids’ season 4, episode 5 preview: Surprises and ‘A Time to Spill’

After you watch some literal fireworks on the Fourth of July next week, get ready to see some metaphorical ones! After all, Lifetime has made the risky-but-fascinating decision to air new episodes of “Devious Maids” and “UnREAL,” and in the case of the former, there is an episode coming in “A Time to Spill” that looks to bring a whole lot of drama to the table.

“Rosie puts herself at risk in an attempt to prove Spence’s innocence; Danni seeks comfort from Jesse while avoiding Carmen; Marisol asks for Evelyn’s help after Peter invites her to a gala; and Zoila tries to make Kyle jealous. Meanwhile, Genevieve and Fabian’s relationship takes an unexpected turn.”

There are some storylines this season that we have found over-the-top and fun in all of the best ways, and we think that Evelyn and Zoila in particular have give us a lot so far this season. This episode will bring us to the halfway point of what is a rather short season for the show. It certainly does make us long for the days when there were 13-episode seasons here, but this is certainly better than having no episodes at all, so for now we will take whatever we can get at this point.
