‘Preacher’ episode 5 preview: Tulip’s vampire-education lesson

There’s yet another new episode of “Preacher” coming your way on AMC Sunday night, and based on the sneak peek below, there will also be some fun stuff coming for all of the Tulip / Cassidy fans who are out there.

In this preview, Tulip takes it upon herself to ask him a series of questions about being a vampire, and as it turns out, he’s quite a bit different than the ones we tend to hear about the majority of the time in books. It’s a fun little scene about her own preconceived notions of who he is, coupled with the matter-of-fact way in which he responds, akin to “how many times are people going to ask me these things.” It feels pretty clear that this is a road he has been down a variety of times before.

At the end of the sneak peek, Tulip tells him he can leave, and we’re left to wonder just what their relationship will ultimately be like on the show, and if it will end up being either very similar or different to the source material on which the show is based. So far, there have been many clear differences between the two, and it is with that you have to think it is certainly conceivable that they will find some other ways to shake things up.

One way or another, we do feel like this story going’s to be a heck of a lot of fun. It’s hard to really imagine it as anything else when you’ve got Tulip, an extremely entertaining and at-times volatile character, at the center of the mix.
