‘Gotham’ season 3 spoilers: Meet Carmine Falcone’s son!
Apparently, sometimes on “Gotham” the apple can fall far from the tree.
While Carmine Falcone is a character we rarely saw on the second season of the show, his son is set now to make a big impact this fall. As first reported by TVLine, James Carpinello (“The Good Wife”) will be appearing in the role of Mario Falcone. What may be the biggest surprise here is that he is not a mob boss at all; instead, he is an ER doctor, one known for being particularly kind and caring. He is someone who wants the best for people, rather than just someone who is out for their own self-interests.
While Carmine was at times a significant threat to the safety and authority of Gotham, what makes Mario a little bit different is that he is a threat to Jim Gordon’s personal life, and his relationship with Lee Thompkins. Given that Morena Baccarin’s maternity leave will be over this summer, we imagine that we are going to see her back as a key component to the show once more. That’s great news for Jim in that he has a chance for happiness, but it is also bad news in the sense that he now has a little bit of something to lose.
The new season of “Gotham” should premiere on Fox a little bit later this fall. We imagine that this is far from the last story we’re going to have to share, so be sure to come back soon with some further news!
