‘Big Brother 18’ premiere: James Huling, Nicole Franzel among returning players
Going into tonight’s season premiere of “Big Brother,” we had a feeling that there were going to be returning players … and these would be revealed as “stowaways” over the course of the premiere. It’s too bad that we were forced to wait a good half an hour or so to know who some of these people were going to be.
Were the pre-game rumors true about Da’Vonne, James, Frank, and Nicole entering the game? We were excited to find out, and it didn’t take long for some of the rumors to be declared true. Nicole was the first returning player to turn up, and she was followed by James, who claimed he was “so close” when really he had a ways to go. With that said, he wasn’t nearly as close as Da’Vonne. Frank was the final returning player, and officially the rumors were 100% right.
One of the weirdest things about this particular crop of returnees is that Nicole technically already had two cracks at this, and we were shocked that you would bring back Frank at this point, even though we did really enjoy him in season 14. We keep our stance the same that it has been for some time now, and that is as follows: We’d much rather have been given a full roster of returning players than a season with four. Otherwise, this just feels like a half-measure, and you’re keeping the fans from getting what they really want to see at this point.
We’ll be back soon with more from this season’s premiere…

In an interview Alison Grodner stated the fans love it when there’s a mix of newbies and returnees…wait, WHAT?!
I’m hoping this is more like BB14 and less like BB13, but let’s be honest, BB14 was only as good as it was because of Dan.
The returnees don’t make much sense, especially when you compare them to the quality of the returnees in BB14.
