‘American Horror Story’ season 6, ‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 4 skipping San Diego Comic-Con
Comic-Con 2016 is right around the corner, and with that of course comes tremendous anticipation to see what some networks and studios are going to be bringing to the table.
Unfortunately, what we have for you now is a bit of news regarding what shows won’t be turning up, unfortunately, from 20th Century Fox TV: “American Horror Story” and “Sleepy Hollow.” Per a report from TVLine, these two shows are missing the San Diego convention, though they could always return in the future.
In some ways, you can argue that both of these shows are in need of some sort of massive reinvention. In the case of the former, you have a series that is coming off of a pretty poor showing in “Hotel,” something that despite some tremendous shock value and a wonderful art style, really did not have much going for it in terms of story.
Meanwhile, “Sleepy Hollow” proved itself to be in a controversial position earlier this season following the death of the Abbie Mills character, a move needed following Nicole Beharie’s decision to leave the show after three years. How do you convince viewers to continue tuning in? That’s something that producers have to answer, and for the most part, all parties involved have been fairly quiet since the end of the season.
It is a shame to us that neither series is showing up, if for no other reason that that Comic-Con is often a chance for redemption, and to get people excited maybe in a way that they weren’t about your show going in.
