Is ‘Murder in the First’ season 3 new tonight on TNT?
For fans of “Murder in the First” over on TNT, we understand why there could be a little bit of confusion tonight. After all, it was first announced that Sunday was going to be the season 3 premiere, and you were going to get a chance to see a story that focused extensively on everything from a high-profile murder case in the Bay Area to racial unrest and torn allegiances. If you like your crime dramas powerful, it was pretty clear that there would be a lot worthy of diving into here.
Unfortunately, that’s not exactly going to happen tonight. Due to the two-hour premiere of “The Last Ship” being delayed last week as a result of the horrific tragedy in Orlando, the premiere of “Murder in the First” was also pushed back. With that, you are unfortunately not getting the show on the air until next Sunday. The good news here is that you will get an extra week later this summer to make up for not getting one tonight, but it requires that little bit of extra patience to make it to that point.
If you haven’t seen it yet, the synopsis for the premiere below at least gives you a solid idea as to what to expect:
“Season three kicks off for Homicide Inspectors Terry English and Hildy Mulligan when an all-star quarterback is murdered in the middle of a crowded club in front of his pop star girlfriend. D.A. Mario Siletti and his wife are involved in a tragic car accident that could end his career and his marriage. And an untimely diagnosis threatens Hildy’s future.”
