NBC Fall Schedule: ‘Blindspot’ season 2 starts early; ‘Chicago Fire’ season 5 held until October again
Today, NBC made their full schedule official for the fall, and if you have a calendar nearby, there are some dates in here that are going to be important to keep track of. There are also some that will surprise you.
Without further ado, let’s go ahead and just dive into this! All times listed are of course p.m., and Eastern Standard Time.
Wednesday, September 14
8:00 – “America’s Got Talent” finale (two hours)
10:00 – “Blindspot” (special time)
Monday, September 19
8:00 – “The Voice”
10:00 – “The Good Place” (new comedy and a special time, obviously a move to capitalize on “The Voice” as a lead-in)
Tuesday, September 20
8:00 – “The Voice” (Tuesday premiere)
10:00 – “This Is Us” (new drama, special time)
Wednesday, September 21
8:00 – “Blindspot” (time period premiere)
9:00 – “Law & Order: SVU”
10:00 – “Chicago PD”
Thursday, September 22
8:00 – “Superstore”
8:30 – “The Good Place” (time period premiere)
9:00 – “Chicago Med”
10:00 – “The Blacklist”
Friday, September 23
8:00 – “Caught On Camera with Nick Cannon”
9:00 – “Dateline”
Monday, October 3
10:00 – “Timeless” (new drama)
Tuesday, October 11
9:00 – “This Is Us” (time period premiere)
10:00 – “Chicago Fire”
As for surprises, the first one is seeing “Blindspot” premiere so early in the fall. It’s an interesting move to start it up so early, and we hope that this is just a way to keep the ratings up given that NBC is facing a big move to a new night and time with it. There are some other scaled premieres in order to take advantage of “The Voice” as a lead-in, but that’s fairly expected. The same goes for giving you a later premiere for “Chicago Fire,” given that this is precisely two days earlier than when the show premiered this past fall.
