‘Big Brother 18’ cast spotlight: Will ‘traveling nurse’ Bridgette Dunning travel home with $500,000?

Bridgette -Yesterday, CBS officially announced the cast for “Big Brother 18,” and when it at least comes to the newbies, there are some interesting characters. We’ve got confident people, jocks, superfans, and relative introverts. It’s hard to get a good read on the group before they get into the house, but for now, we at least feel cautiously optimistic that some of these people will deliver.

Will Bridgette Dunning be one of them? We do think, judging from the video interview below, that she could be a popular figure with America just because she’s kind of quirky, likes the show, and actually is a little more confident than you would probably expect going into the game.

Facts to know – She is 24 years old, and is a “traveling nurse” currently living in Ventura, California. Originally, she is from Fresno. We picture in our head someone running around with a first-aid kit, but since Bridgette claims that she has lived everywhere from Oakland to Brooklyn, she really is proving to be worth that job title.

Show history – We’re not sure from this Jeff interview that she has seen every season of the game, but she has watched the past few years and seems really confident that she has the charm and the gameplay style to do well.

Past houseguest comparison – Combine Nicole Franzel with Michele from season 11, and you have Bridgette pretty much down. She can be awkward and goofy, but there is a game confidence here that we’re not entirely sure Nicole always had. We could see her driving the bus more.

Clear weakness – We could see her personality, while sweet, coming across as either frustrating or inauthentic by some of the other players. We’re not sure Bridgette is self-aware enough to realize this, and while she has a lot of life experience for her age, that doesn’t always translate to social experience in a game like this.

Early prediction – She’ll last three or four weeks without any trouble, but come jury overplay her hand and find herself going home on a week where she probably did not fight too hard to win Head of Household.
