‘Big Brother 18’ cast reveal no longer coming Monday morning, per CBS

Big Brother -

Apparently, the first big “Big Brother” twist for the season involves the fans and the fans only.

After first announcing that the cast reveal was going to be streamed live featuring interviews with Jeff Schroeder on Monday morning, the show has now confirmed on Twitter (see below) that you’re going to have to wait until Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Big Brother Time (a.k.a. Pacific, it’s what we’ll be using to document this season) to meet everyone in what we assume will be pre-taped interviews.

So what in the world happened here? There are a few possible explanations we have conjured up.

1. Big Jeff got laryngitis, or prefers to pre-record asking people if they’re “single and ready to mingle.”

2. There is a big twist that they are afraid a houseguest will give away live.

3. There is some sort of scheduling or technical problem that requires sorting out.

4. Possible changes in production staff due to the horrible and obvious schedule-shattering events of the weekend.

No matter the reason, it’s not a great look for the show to announce something on Twitter, and to people promoting the show in many ways, only to then change it up less than twelve hours before the event was going to start. We knew that we were planning to get up bright and early to start preparing articles in advance of the cast launch. We may not be live now with our coverage of the reveal, but we’ll certainly have some good stuff for you throughout the week.
