‘House of Lies’ series finale: Ben Schwartz thanks fans for watching five seasons
With the end of the road being here for “House of Lies” on Showtime, leave it to one of the show’s main stars in Ben Schwartz to make everyone feel a little bit nostalgic about all of the time gone by. Five seasons is a long time for any show to run these days, and this series in particular got a great opportunity to take some risks, surprise some people, and ultimately conclude with a story that brought the main characters all the way to Cuba. What sort of show does that?
While it is far too long to post here, Schwartz wrote a lengthy letter online tributing everyone involved with the series – this is specifically what he had to say in regards to the fans:
“Thank you to the fans. You supported us through 58 episodes! You know how insane that is? To do five seasons and 58 episodes of a TV show nowadays? Thank you for all of your support, gifs and memes. Thank you for cheering us on, it fueled us to do more and take bigger risks. It was an honor to create this world for you every week and I hope you enjoy the way it all wraps up. I think it’s the perfect ending to a show which I loved very much.”
Moving forward, we’ll get a chance to see the entire cast of the series move on to some other things; Kristen Bell, for example, has an upcoming NBC show in “The Good Place.”
