Teen Choice Awards 2016: Jennifer Morrison, Colin O’Donoghue, Stephen Amell, Emily Bett Rickards top ‘Liplock’ contenders

Teen Choice -Yes, there is something rather weird about there being a Teen Choice Awards category entitled Choice TV: Liplock, mostly because you’re basically voting on and analyzing on how some fictional characters kissed. Another way to look at it is that you’re judging actors based on one of the weirdest parts of their job. Yet, it’s a category for the show, and we’ve already promised to analyze every major category in the TV field for this show.

Therefore, check out our superficial take on this one below (we’re not going to get too weird or creepy here), and as always, be sure to vote in the poll for who you think should win! We’ll announce the favorites from our readers at another date.

Also, remember to click here in the event you want to actual visit the official site and vote for the awards proper.

The nominees

Emily Bett Rickards & Stephen Amell, “Arrow”

Chelsea Kane & Derek Theler, “Baby Daddy”

Candice King & Paul Wesley, “The Vampire Diaries”

Jennifer Morrison & Colin O’Donoghue, “Once Upon A Time”

Candice Patton & Grant Gustin, “The Flash”

Leah Pipes & Joseph Morgan, “The Originals”

Who will win – This is really all a battle of ‘shippers, and that means that it will probably be close. Yet, in looking at the past history of this show’s voters, we know that they love “The Vampire Diaries” and even with a smaller viewership overall, they are probably giving this to Steroline a.k.a. Candice and Paul. We’re not ruling out Jennifer and Colin either, though, just because of the Captain Swan fandom being incredibly enthusiastic. “Baby Daddy” is really the only show on this list we’re ruling out.

Who should win – We’re not going to think in terms of the quality of the kiss (ew) or anything like this; instead, we’re basing this mostly on which story do we think was the best this past year in terms of romance. You can make a case for Jennifer and Colin based on how much Emma and Hook went through to be together; in the end, though, we may lean towards Leah and Joseph mostly because of how devastating the end of the Klaus – Cami relationship was, and also that you’re probably not going to get another chance to vote for them.

That’s all for us; we’re handing this over to you for the poll!
