‘Outcast’ episode 3 preview: Is Kyle being pushed too far?
If you enjoyed the latest episode of “Outcast” on Cinemax, rest assured of one thing when it comes to the next installment: Things are not going to get any less intense. As a matter of fact, they may only boil over further.
On tonight’s episode, you had what was fundamentally a story about Kyle starting to come to terms with more of his past, or at least trying to. It’s difficult when you have dealt with what he has when it comes to his mother. Moving forward, you have a chance to a variety of other events, and the preview below gives you at least a small take on that.
To go along with that, we’ve also got the synopsis (for what it is) here: “Kyle and Reverend Anderson confront an unusual possession.” We’re going to make a big statement here: This could be the worst synopsis for an episode we’ve ever seen, given that you could argue that this is more or less a description for the entire series. We could think of almost any episode of this show, and it could have this synopsis without any problem in the world.
Okay, we’ll get off our soapbox now. The reality here is that the second episode of the show was an excellent one, and it proved that there is a lot more going on here than just standard horror movie schlock. Yes, this show will scare you, but it will also do a lot more than that and is certainly worthy of your time.
