‘Royal Pains’ season 8 spoilers: First look at penultimate episode

We’re getting near the end of the road on “Royal Pains,” and of course with that it has to be said that now is really a time for reflection, and then also looking ahead to what the end of the series could be. It’s for that reason we were happy to see the 100th episode of the show give us both Jill Flint and also some more conflict between Hank and Evan, given that it was a chance for the show to touch back to some of its roots.

As we start to get near the end of the series, we could also end up getting the same exact thing. “The Good News Is…” is a rather interesting title for the penultimate episode airing on June 29, and per the synopsis below, it does seem like there could actually be some pretty decent news on the horizon for some of the characters:

“Theater legend Annette comes to the Hamptons for a wedding and reluctantly enlists Hank’s help. Hank tries to reconcile Eddie and Evan, while Paige eagerly awaits pregnancy test results.”

Our own personal suggestion for those of you out there worried about the future of the show is to consider the source for a minute or two here. We’re talking about a series that has long emphasized finding solutions to problems, and rarely have we seen patients not make it through some of what they’re suffering from. We’re anticipating some sort of happy ending for most of the characters, even if it comes about in some unexpected ways. That’s life!
