‘Ride with Norman Reedus’: Could some ‘Walking Dead’ co-stars join Norman in the future?

Ride - On Sunday night, AMC is launching a foray into unscripted television, something that they had seemingly left behind for a little while. Why dive back into it now with “Ride with Norman Reedus“? The answer is right in the show’s title! Reedus is a magnetic star, and this show has a chance to get a ton of viewers just from “The Walking Dead” fans alone. Also, “Sons of Anarchy” proved just how popular motorcycle culture is across America and a topic that hasn’t been explored nearly enough on television.

In season 1, Reedus is going to explore parts of America on a bike, and hopefully in the process you’ll get to see some new, interesting places. For those of you hoping for some “Walking Dead” cameos, though, prepare to be disappointed … for now. While Reedus tells TVInsider that many of his fellow actors were not present during filming season 1, he’s open to them riding along in the future:

“We shot in the off-season, and everybody was just so busy winning awards on Broadway, shooting movies overseas, saving elephants, doing so many things. But I hope in the future to get some of them on the show. There are some people in the cast who ride motorcycles now—we all took a big ride together the other day—so that’s great for me.”

Of course, there hasn’t been a season 2 for the show confirmed just yet, but we have a hard time picturing a world in which this show is not a hit when you think about star power, the subject matter, and the simple reality that this is a perfect summer show since everyone has their bikes on the road. Also, it doesn’t have much in the way of competition, which is always nice for a new show.
