Just one day after there were some concerns out there that Simon Cowell and Dermot O’Leary’s health problems were going to keep either one of them from showing up to the first day of “The X Factor,” the judge / executive producer and the show’s host managed to make it to their first live audition taping at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium just fine. They posed with fans for pictures, smiled on the red carpet, and then went about some of their duties.
Today marked the first time that Simon, Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh, and Sharon Osbourne got together as a panel to see some talent for the upcoming season, and getting them together had to be quite the feat when you consider just how far apart they all have been! Simon and Sharon have been in Los Angeles quite a bit, Nicole has been doing some theater work in New York, and Louis has been spending plenty of time in the UK and his home country of Ireland. Hopefully, they’ll be able to have quick chemistry; they’ve all been on the show before, but this specific panel is new.
The new season will premiere on ITV later this year, and given that everyone was in attendance for this audition show, it does give us a little bit of hope that this tradition will last the rest of the way. We’ll hopefully have some further scoop moving forward, so be sure to check back often for various teases!
