‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ books ‘The Talk’ star Sheryl Underwood
What is it about so many panelists on “The Talk” appearing on various CBS shows? It’s a good question, but one that we really don’t mind seeing at all! We’ve seen Sharon Osbourne on “CSI,” Aisha Tyler have a lengthy arc on “Criminal Minds,” and of course plenty of Sara Gilbert on “The Big Bang Theory” during some of its early seasons. (She did end up returning to the show recently for a celebration.)
So what is the latest guest-starring gig for one of the panelists? As the title gives away, it’s none other than Sheryl Underwood on “The Bold and the Beautiful.” Per Entertainment Weekly, she will appear in two separate episodes of the show as Emmy, a character with ties to Dollar Bill, and someone who will also help to determine whether or not a certain marriage is legit.
Obviously, our hope here is mostly just that she enjoys the gig, given that she is an admitted fan of the soap. We know Underwood more for being herself then an actress, but we are excited to see what she’s going to do on the show.
What we have seen so many times over is that “The Bold and the Beautiful” really does CBS cross-promotion more so than any other network out there. They are the ones who do frequently stage “Big Brother” crossovers after the ends of recent seasons, and they’ve also done some stuff over time with “Survivor.” We imagine ultimately that this is a trend that is probably going to continue moving forward the next few months and it makes a lot of sense for the network to help fans of one show check out what else they have to offer.
