Teen Choice Awards 2016: Will Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Laura Marano win Comedy Actress?

Teen Choice -Today marks the final day in which we’re doing specific spotlights for the Teen Choice Awards nominations … at least when it comes to Wave 1. Knowing the way this show chooses to unleash nominations upon the world, there are many more that we’re going to have a chance to go through over the course of the coming weeks prior to the show airing on July 31.

Below, take a look at our full take on the Choice TV Actress: Comedy field, one that could have a little bit of intrigue to it in that you’ve got a really wide array of shows included here, and women who are capable of surfing off the stage with one of the show’s famous boards. The nominees

Candace Cameron Bure – “Fuller House”

Dove Cameron – “Liv and Maddie “

Emma Roberts – “Scream Queens”

Gina Rodriguez – “Jane the Virgin”

Laura Marano – “Austin & Ally”

Lea Michele – “Scream Queens”

Who will win – We think that there will be a little bit of competition here, especially since “Austin & Ally” and “Liv and Maddie” are both popular Disney Channel shows. Yet, at the same time this category has been dominated over the years by Lea Michele. While we know that “Glee” is not on the air anymore, “Scream Queens” has a popular audience in its own right, and based on the end of season 1 you can definitely say that she is more than deserving for her take on Hester.

Who should win – You could make a case for Michele, or for her scene-stealing screen partner Emma Roberts for consistently bringing it to another level throughout season 1 as Chanel. However, we’re still going to be looking more towards former Teen Choice Awards host Rodriguez here for bringing so much heart and passion to “Jane the Virgin,” one of the best shows on TV, and one that unfortunately doesn’t have the audience it deserves.

Who is your pick for Comedy Actress? Vote below, and we’re going to have the results of many of these different categories later this week!
