‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 7: Could we see more Melissa Hastings?

At the moment, it is certainly clear that Torrey DeVitto is more than a little bit busy. After all, she’s got a new gig in “Chicago Med” over on NBC, and since that show is gearing up for a pretty beefy second season, there’s probably a little bit less time in the schedule than usual.

Could there still be time for her to return as Melissa Hastings on “Pretty Little Liars”? We know that we’d like to see it, given that she has been such a big part of the fabric of the show for some time; also, we know that Torrey would also like for it to happen, judging based on what she said to “Entertainment Tonight” recently:

“I just think it would be nice to finish out Melissa… I feel like she needs it for the fans of the show and also for the character – I feel like I owe it to her to really like play that story out … I want there to be a big reveal. I want it to be a good tying up of her and a good explanation of her – I think everyone deserves an explanation of what she’s hiding, why she’s always been so secretive, and what makes her so edgy all the time… I thought it was enough that she buried [Bethany Young], so who knows what else she has in her closet.”

Given that so much time has also passed since the beginning of the show, who knows? It’s certainly also possible that we could end up seeing some more secrets from the past few years of Melissa’s life turn up.
