‘The X Factor’ UK: Nicole Scherzinger reportedly signs lucrative deal

Now that “Britain’s Got Talent” is officially over and done with, it is a little bit easier now to start looking forward to some other products that are coming on British TV later this year. This includes the latest season of “The X Factor,” which we certainly have a lot of excitement around. For one, it’s more reality TV! What’s not to like there? To go along with that, it certainly seems like Simon Cowell is really trying to bring a sense of fun back to the show courtesy of bringing on board the likes of Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne, and Nicole Scherzinger. All three of them are known for drawing laughs, and while the ultimate focus should remain on the contestants, the atmosphere is also a big part of its success.

Speaking to The Sun, a source effectively confirms that Nicole is heading back to the show with a “million-pound” deal, and the show’s “head judge” couldn’t be happier about it:

“Simon thinks Nicole is a great asset to the show and is delighted he was able to sign her up, despite the commitments she previously had elsewhere. He wants this year’s show to go back to its best and she is very much part of that plan.”

The “commitments” that are being referred to primarily here include a stint on the Broadway production of “Cats,” but ultimately, it doesn’t quite matter since getting this gig is really going to be the focus for Scherzinger moving forward. It’s still interesting how we didn’t really care for her on the American version of the show, but on the UK version she was quite fantastic.
