‘Outlander’ season 2, episode 9 preview: Claire’s further trauma; an important arrival

Claire -Tonight on Starz, “Outlander” returned with an episode that brought our heroes back to Scotland, and they also made a key decision to change history potentially when it comes to the Jacobite Rebellion. They have changed history before, so why not use Claire’s knowledge in order to create a very different outcome this time? By the end of the episode, they managed to get some sort of neutrality agreement between Lord Lovat and the clan MacKenzie, which is very important to the future of Scotland and the clans.

Moving into next week’s episode, it will be very clear that war is coming on the other side. However, nothing in this world is entirely certain, and there are some new issues that could rise to the surface and cause problems for Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan’s characters. Take a look at the synopsis below for some further details:

“Claire and Jamie reunite with the Lallybroch and MacKenzie men as they train for war.  Jamie’s power struggles with Dougal and Claire’s personal battle with her memories of WWII weigh upon them, but new, helpful information comes to light when a young Englishman named William Grey pays a surprise visit to their camp.”

Ultimately, William Grey is going to potentially be a key cog, and seeing how the show presents this character shall be one of many interesting elements as we start to dive into the home stretch of this season. There are more surprises to come, and given the nature of this show, probably some further moments that will have everyone talking.
