‘Bones’ season 11 spoilers: Booth and a hockey battle
It’s already been well-documented that “Bones” star David Boreanaz is a hockey fan himself, so why not try to take advantage of that for an episode of the show? Art can imitate life in some ways, so for him filming the upcoming June 16 episode entitled “The Head in the Abutment” had to be somewhat of a thrill. He gets to (seemingly) take the ice in order to figure out precisely what happened to a professional hockey player.
As the synopsis below indicates, there are some other stories that are going to be coming up, and some of them may even tie into the show in a pretty significant way:
“The team investigates the death of a popular professional hockey player whose headless corpse was dumped in the river. As Booth and Aubrey question the player’s coach (guest star Jeremy Roenick as himself), Booth’s depth of hockey knowledge is integral to solving the case, and he’s reunited with a hockey rival from his past, putting him back on the ice once again to face off against him. Meanwhile, Hodgins and Oliver (guest star Brian Klugman) have a competition of their own when Hodgins builds two drones and they compete to retrieve the victim’s missing head, and Booth and Brennan attempt to declutter their home.”
Ultimately, we’re going to have a chance to share some more on this episode as it gets a little bit closer to airing; more than anything else, we imagine that we’re going to have a compelling case mixed with some funny sports action. What’s not to like?
