‘Fear the Walking Dead’ season 2, episode 8 return date; what it means for ‘The Walking Dead’ season 7

Strand -For those of you feeling anxious and interested in learning when “Fear the Walking Dead” could be returning with the remainder of its second season, rest assured that we are coming to you right now with great news! AMC thankfully did not keep this secret from you for very long.

New episodes of the Cliff Curtis – Kim Dickens series will resume on Sunday, August 21 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, which ensures that this show will probably pick up not too long after “Preacher” ends its own run on the network. There also could be some other space in there for another show, though we’re not entirely sure how the network would structure it.

One other thing that this return date does is fuel a little bit more speculation on the subject of just when the seventh season of “The Walking Dead” proper could begin. Unless we’ve made a mistake in our math given that “Fear” has fifteen episodes, the earliest the show could start things up (pending some sort of two-hour episode for the spin-off at some point) is Sunday, October 16. That date is in line with past season premieres more or less, so it makes some sense. The biggest thing for “The Walking Dead” proper is just that it starts reasonably close to Halloween, given that this is an audience that it does want to take advantage of in many ways.

Hopefully, AMC will give us some more from the show over the coming weeks; be on the lookout!
