‘The Last Ship’ season 3 spoilers: You will learn Rachel’s fate rather quickly

The third season of “The Last Ship” is coming your way on June 12, and given how you have been forced to wait all summer to learn whether or not the Rachel character is dead or alive, we’re certainly fine with the show giving you some resolution sooner rather than later.

According to a report from TVLine, you will learn roughly a minute and a half into the season 3 premiere one way or another when it comes to Rachel’s fate. We obviously hope that she pulls through; we like the character, and it’s pretty clear that she knows and understands the cure better than anyone. The Nathan James crew have enough crises on their plate that they shouldn’t also have to worry about finding some more scientific talent.

Also, the site notes that even if she does survive, there will be some danger awaiting at least one other important character on this show, which only furthers the whole no-one-is-safe mantra of this series. It also makes some sense, given the danger of the premise and the fact that the crew is currently heading to uncharted waters. With President Michener now at the helm, there are new missions and new parts of the world to explore. It just remains to be seen if these missions will prove successful.
