‘Blindspot’ finale spoilers: Death and methodology

While the majority of finales for network TV shows may have already come and gone, rest assured that there is a big one coming tonight for “Blindspot” fans on Monday night. We’re coming off of the death of Mayfair, but the reality is that this is not going to be the only character we see leave this universe this season.

Of course, we’re not going to tell you who will go next — but there are a pair of different mysteries that need to be addressed. Per a new report from TV Guide, it’s not just a matter of who is going to die on Monday’s finale, but who kills them and why that adds to the mystery. Nothing is ever as simple as you would think. If you’ve been watching this show with full devotion, you’ve probably realized that by now.

In setting up this episode further, creator Martin Gero had the following to pass along to the aforementioned site:

“It’s one of our most emotional episodes … After the events of last week, almost everyone’s life has been thrown into chaos in some way. … And it’s going to end cataclysmically for some and [provide] clarity for others.”

Given that the cast and crew have known for months now that the show would be back for a second season, who wants to bet there’s a cliffhanger ending? The folks involved had all of the time in the world to come up with a creative ending that tees up season 2, and we’re pretty darn sure they probably deliver with this and then some.
