‘The Bachelorette’ spotlight: Will Luke Pell strike a chord with JoJo Fletcher?

Luke -When you consider that our new “Bachelorette” in JoJo Fletcher is a Texan, wouldn’t there be some sort of inherent advantage that goes along to some other Texans who appear on the show this coming season and try to woo her over? We at least like to think so, which is why Luke Pell could be a contender. Also, he’s got another interesting thing going for him as a war veteran, and it’s been proven many times over that men in uniform do tend to be a hot commodity.

Granted, Luke has some other qualifications beyond his military history that we’re going to get into further in this latest edition of our show spotlight.

Name – Luke Pell

Age – 31

Occupation – War veteran, per the ABC bio. He’s also more than that, given that he is also a singer / songwriter and self-described entrepreneur. Given that he seems to be a big Mark Cuban fan, it all makes sense.

Location – Burnet, Texas. It’s a small town Northwest of Austin, and it gives him some of that small-town feel that people on this show tend to love.

Pros – He probably is one of the more interesting people to talk to among the cast this season, mostly because he has had such a rich life experience. He also seems to be a down-home southern gentleman, and he’ll be able to really work that charm in ways that some other people are not.

Cons – He’s not particular verbose in his bio online, so we don’t really know a whole lot about his personality other than that there seems to be a little bit of a dreamer in him. JoJo may want someone who is a little more established in what they are doing now, or maybe someone used to more of a big-city life since she is in the world high-profile real estate in Dallas.

Most likely to… Compete against fellow contestant James Taylor in some sort of a sing-off.

Final assessment – Luke could be an interesting contestant and potential “Bachelor” material if he lasts long enough and shows several different sides. Our biggest concern is most just that he tries to use singing as a gimmick along the way, or is closed off because he’s not used to being this competitive over a single woman.
