‘The Bachelorette’ spotlight: Is Jordan Rodgers a touchdown for JoJo Fletcher?
For this edition of our “Bachelorette” spotlight series, we are putting the focus on someone in Jordan Rodgers who is far and away the most notable of the contestants this season. Heck, he’s one that was spoiled so far ago that we though Caila Quinn was going to be the series lead at the time. That raises a good reminder that for many of these guys, they auditioned without even knowing who they were pursuing. A little odd, no?
Below, take a look at what Jordan brings to the table, beyond of course being Aaron Rodgers’ brother.
Name – Jordan Rodgers (hey, you already knew that).
Age – 27
Occupation – Former pro quarterback. Specifically, Jordan played for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League. He’s now retired.
Location – Chico, California. It’s north of Sacramento, so he’s not exactly the typical L.A. type you get on the show.
Pros – There is a certain appeal that always comes with athletes, and this is probably especially true when you’re related to a superstar. Even if they’re not close (we don’t know if they are or not), that appeal has to be there given that Aaron is also with Olivia Munn. Lots of star power in the family. On his own, Jordan seems to be a fairly kind, caring guy on his own.
Cons – Former athletes don’t always make the best partners, since you have to wonder what they are going to do next. We have no idea what Jordan’s aspirations are for his own career or what sort of stuff that he does away from the support. JoJo has to be aware of that. Also, of course you have to wonder why a guy like Jordan is doing the show when he’s probably never short on attention from women.
Most likely to… Make a million or so football analogies.
Final assessment – Jordan’s golden for a while. If you’re Jordan, we don’t know precisely how you end up having this guy on the show and not exploring things. Can you imagine if Aaron is at the hometown date? Producers would lose their minds. Therefore, expect him to be a major player this season.
