There’s something strange and ironic about there being a contender on “The Bachelorette” who is named James Taylor and is also a musician, but yet, here we are writing about them right now. We don’t necessarily get the sense that it’s the only thing he does professionally, but hey, this is what they’re going to market him as on the show. We’ll have to see if he and JoJo Fletcher are a match, but we gotta think that they’re going to him a spotlight … right?
For more of our take on him, just keep reading!
Name – James Taylor (the show actually put his last name out there, which they haven’t done for any other contestant this year).
Age – 29
Occupation – Singer-songwriter. We imagine that he’s going to have some sort of focus put on that on the show; let’s just hope that it turns out better than it did for Wes.
Location – Katy, Texas. For those who don’t know Texas geography, it’s a city fairly close to Houston. (As someone who’s been there, it’s also SUPER humid.)
Pros – Obviously, ladies tend to love a guy who can sing. They also tend to love somebody who is super-charming and can be heartfelt. We get the sense that he knows how to be that. He’s also somewhat of a guy’s guy, and based on what we’ve seen from JoJo, this seems to really be her type.
Cons – Is he too much of a dude? Given that he talks about wanting an unlimited collection of beer and to be a starting NFL quarterback (he should have a few questions for Jordan Rodgers), we have a feeling that he may hang out with the guys so much he’ll get distracted.
Most likely to… Annoy other guys with his singing.
Final assessment – You gotta keep this guy around for a while, right? Either he’ll be the person who bros down to much and is sent home that way, or he will clash with a few of them and spend a ton of time singing. Either way, James is probably going to make for some good TV.
