‘The Flash’ season 2, episode 22 video: The Zoom – Barry storm is coming…

Zoom -On Tuesday night’s new episode of “The Flash,” we’re going to have what we can best describe as the lead-up to a showdown like no other between Barry Allen and Hunter Zolomon, otherwise known as Zoom. He’s terrorized several people he loves, and it’s going to get so much worse before it ever gets better. The sneak peek below is proof of that.

Here, Zoom delivers what we would best describe as the standard supervillain monologue. He tells Barry that fundamentally, the two of them are the same; both of them crave being the best, and they also possess an ability that makes them stand out from society. The difference is that Barry feels the need to help those around him, which is something that Zoom really does not spend a lot of time worrying himself over. He feels more like they get in the way.

Barry leaves this scene to save people who are about to die from a building collapse, but we know that this final showdown is coming. Why doesn’t Zoom just go ahead and make his move in this moment, given that Barry could still be vulnerable after only just returning from Central City? The only answer that we can think of is that he wants to toy with him more, and does not really think that there is a situation where he could be defeated. It’s arrogance, and that could be his undoing. Hey, it has been for so many villains in the past.

We’ll be back tonight with a full review of all that transpires, so stay tuned!
