The sad news for “Person of Interest” is obviously that the show is ending; with that being said, though, there is also an added element here in that the show is really not getting enough attention for its final season. This is especially true when it comes to last night’s Sarah Shahi focused episode, which may be one of the strongest of the entire run and it completely justifies everything in terms of Shaw’s journey. Going into it, we really did not think that there was any chance of that happening.
So where are we going now moving into tonight’s episode? Well, it’s going to have a slightly different focus in trying to find and protect Reese, who is going to be facing a rather unfortunate / undue target. Take a look at the synopsis below for some further details:
“Reese protects an NYPD analyst whose investigation into a software glitch has drawn the attention of Samaritan. Also, Reese and Fusco are threatened by an ally of Elias’s, who is looking to avenge his friend’s death.”
We are starting to notice a little bit of a theme for the majority of the final season right now, and it is this: Seeing characters in constant amounts of jeopardy, and having to team up in order to ensure their survival. This is, after all, precisely the sort of thing that happens when you are nearing the end of the road for a show, and there are also as many different moving parts that need to be addressed.
