‘Dancing with the Stars 22’ results: Were Wanya Morris, Antonio Brown, or Paige VanZant eliminated?

dwtsHere is what is interesting about where we are right now in “Dancing with the Stars“: It really does not matter what you scored on the show tonight. It’s all about the combination of the scores from this past episode, coupled with the viewer votes. Also, it’s a double-elimination as two people are going home before the finale.

While in our head the final three is probably Paige VanZant, Wanya Morris, and Nyle DiMarco, there was no guarantee that the votes would reflect that. Ginger Zee has become somewhat of the people’s champion as of late, and we were incredibly nervous going into this episode that we were going to ultimately see Wanya going home after he stumbled in the scores this past week and opened himself up to a vulnerability.

As you would expect, the show made you wait for as long as humanly possible before we ended up getting to the results. Ginger and Val Chmerkovskiy were the first pair confirmed for the finale, and that added just a little bit more intrigue into the mix since at one point earlier this season, we didn’t see them being there. Nyle and Peta Mugatroyd were called safe next.

The final couple going to the finals was … Paige and Mark Ballas! This means that Wanya and Lindsay Arnold are going home alongside Antonio Brown and Sharna Burgess. We gotta say that Wanya may be up there with Sabrina Bryan as one of the best dancers to never make it to the end of a season. One bad week ultimately did doom him … and the show ran too late that we didn’t even get to hear their final words.
