‘Saturday Night Live’ preview: Leslie Jones, Drake, and a little ‘Hotline Bling’

Great news for everyone out there who loves “Saturday Night Live,” Drake, or a combination of the two, there is a heck of a lot to like about the latest promo for the show below.

In it, the singer / rapper encounters with Leslie Jones what can be best described as a little bit of a logistics problem with his song “Hotline Bling”: When you give out your phone number in a song, there are probably going to be a heck of a lot of people who’ve got some sort of interest in calling you up. Sure, the whole premise of this bit is a little bit of a stretch given that 1-800-Hotline-Bling is not the sort of number Drake would have.

Yes, we understand that we are probably not meant to think too much about this, but that’s what we do here!

Otherwise, this is a lot of fun as Jones discovers that Drake offers a waxing service via this phone number, which in turn means that she’s going to turn to him for all of her needs. It’s Jones doing the sort of humor that has won her so many fans on this show. We think that in general, there is a lot to be excited about coming up just because we know how talented Drake is, and how well he did his first outing as host. Did we necessarily think his sketches were brilliant? No, but it was pretty clear throughout that he was giving 100% to everything he was doing.
