‘Legends of Tomorrow’ episode 15 review: Captain Cold finds his inner hero — at a cost
Tonight, “Legends of Tomorrow” brought us one of the most epic episodes of the entire season; more than that, you could say that this was an hour in which a known villain quickly decided to be a hero in one of the coolest ways possible … even if it ended in tragedy.
Tonight, brought us the end of the Oculus, and with that much of Rip Hunter’s resource. More than that, though, we saw the end of Wentworth Miller’s Captain Cold. In an effort to try and save the team once and for all, he ended up giving his life. More so than that, he and Sara apparently had a thing! Hey, she did have a thing for Oliver Queen back during his Bad Boy days, so that clearly is a type.
While Cold managed to help take down some of the Time Masters and protected Rip Hunter, there was clearly another problem still: Vandal Savage was still out there. Not only that, but he still had Kendra Saunders. She may celebrate the fact that the timeline has been severely altered and perhaps Vandal’s plan is not as much of a success as it once was, but to what end? We’re not out of the woods yet; we’re just down a team member.
Entertainment-wise, this episode was a little bit of a mess with stuff happening all across the board. Yet, we’re fine with that when there are cool moments, and hey, what’s cooler than being cold. Captain Cold! Okay, we hate ourselves for that one, but Miller has been a shining star throughout this whole season. Grade: B.
