‘Chicago Fire’ season 4, episode 23 reaction: Another death rocks Firehouse 51

Chicago Fire -At this point in time, fans of “Chicago Fire” really do have to be prepared for the concept of death. After all, this is something that has happened on a variety of occasions on the show before.

Still, it stings every time, and on Tuesday night’s new episode, it stung the most for Jimmy as he had to come to terms with losing his brother Danny. This was someone who was at times hard on him, but loved him very much and we often saw that. This is not going to be an easy thing for him to get over, and he may need the help of the rest of the firehouse in order to cope with it. The hardest part of it may have just be what he said to him before the fire.

Were there some hopeful moments in this episode, as well? Sure, such as Casey working to help to ensure that Dawson’s plans to foster Louie went off without a hitch. Also, Otis and Connie on a date! think of this as a reminder that the show can do sweet things every now and then.

In getting back to dealing with death, though, what may make this even worse is that there is still another episode to go this season, and Boden is still going to have to make some harsh decisions. We don’t really think that anything is altogether resolved here yet, but we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
