‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 3 finale spoilers: Who will die in ‘Absolution,’ ‘Ascension’?

For many weeks now, ABC has been teasing a major death at the end of “Agents of SHIELD” season 3. Are we getting close to the point where that happens? Definitely. Next week’s two-hour finale is entitled “Absolution” and “Ascension,” and by the end of it, everything will be revealed. We’ll have our big and possibly final battle between SHIELD and Hive, and in there we’re going to learn a thing or two more regarding just what his desired endgame is. Along the way, there’ll also be carnage.

Given that this is the finale, of course ABC is going to shy away from giving out major details! This is why the only intel we have is this super-short synopsis below for two full hours of television:

“It’s a showdown a season in the making as S.H.I.E.L.D. takes on Hive, and when his master plan is finally revealed, the team must spring into action. Who will live, and who will die?”

The promo below for the finale doesn’t really do much when it comes to giving us information that we don’t already know about in some form. Instead, it more or less just offers another reminder that there is a big character death coming up. We would like to imagine that Coulson and Daisy are safe, given that they are arguably the show’s two main characters. The same goes for Fitz and Simmons, given that they are now together. The two people that we’re probably the most worried about beyond Hive are May and Mack, especially since the latter made the decision in the last episode to stand and fight.
