‘Reign’ season 4 spoilers: Who’s being recast? Also, new faces

Reign -Apparently, it’s far from too early to start thinking about what could be coming on the upcoming fourth season of “Reign.” The third season may still be airing on The CW, but the show is starting to look more and more towards the future.

One of the first things that should be noted in some of the early casting intel that is out there (per TVLine) is that the show is going to be looking to age up the character of Henry played by Jackson Hodge-Carter, a sign that we’re getting a fairly big time jump between seasons.

As for some new characters, be prepared to meet Lord Darnley, a man with a “wildly ambitious mother whose love hinges entirely on his ability to secure a crown.” He could be intent on becoming Mary’s next husband, which really is just further evidence that there are going to be many more romantic battles to come before we get to the end of the series. After all, we’re also going to meet a “bad boy” named Bothwell who also has his eyes set on Adelaide Kane’s character in his own way.

One other addition to the series will be Narcisse’s son Gabriel, who could have his eyes set on Claude. Clearly, there’s a lot going on with the show moving forward, and it makes some sense that there would be at least a slight leap forward. After all, there is so much more of Mary’s story still to tell, and at the current pace there’s no way that they would get to it all in Scotland.
