‘Arrow’ season 5 spoilers: Colton Haynes returning as Roy Harper for multiple episodes

Oliver -

For everyone out there wondering how “Arrow” is going to replace the Team Arrow vacancy left by Laurel Lance, we’re starting to get a sense. Roy Harper’s going to be back to help out!

Per SpoilerTV and the tweet below, Colton Haynes is going to be back for multiple episodes next season. He apparently announced the news while in France at the Justice Squad Convention. While we cannot say for certain that he will be around in the Arsenal costume, we certainly have to hope that he’ll be back fighting crime alongside Oliver and his ex Thea, who certainly seems to still harbor at least some sort of feelings towards him.

This news comes following a lengthy Entertainment Weekly story where Haynes opened up about his sexuality for the first time, and also discussed how he needed to take a break after spending so much time on “Arrow.” He says that he is happier than he’s ever been, and we’re excited to see what sort of energy he brings onto this show with his return. He’s already made a brief appearance following his exit, and the show producers always said that they hoped they would be able to book him for more story moving forward.

For the time being, all we know for certain about season 5 is that The CW is in the process of casting someone who could potentially become the new Big Bad. Not only that, but they have already made Echo Kellum a series regular in the role of Curtis Holt, the tech expert working under Felicity Smoak who could someday become the hero Mr. Terrific.
