‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Is surprise guest crashing JoJo Fletcher’s first night?

We’re still getting closer to the premiere of “The Bachelorette” on Monday, May 23, and with that in mind we’re rather thrilled to have even more details on JoJo Fletcher’s first night! This time around, we’re writing mostly in terms of talking about something that happens almost every season: Someone showing up at the mansion who is fairly unexpected, and could end up in some ways shaking up the competition. Last season, Becca Tilley and Amber James made surprise appearances, and the two did last for a few weeks.

Is the mystery guest this season someone out to compete for JoJo’s heart? We cannot answer that at the moment; instead, just take a look at the synopsis below for some base details on what’s coming:

“[It] wouldn’t be a first rose ceremony without a surprise. An unexpected visitor from the past arrives and pulls the shocked Bachelorette aside, as the other men wonder if they have new competition for JoJo’s heart. After the night is over, 20 men remain to try and become the love of JoJo’s life.”

Ultimately, we’re not entirely sure if this is going to be a twist that really sticks around for a long period of time. We haven’t really heard a whole lot of buzz about it aside from this synopsis, and that of course does make us question whether or not this is something that is really going to make a huge impact over the course of the entire season. We don’t even really think that this show needs anything extra, since there are the vast majority of time enough other twists and turns to keep everyone engaged.
