‘Elementary’ season 4 finale video: Holmes and Watson’s many frustrations

ElementaryThe finale for “Elementary” is set to air on Sunday, and for Holmes and Watson, you certainly have to believe that there are many objectives at present. One of them just so happens to be trying to uncover what happened with the murder attempt on Morland’s life, and also figure out just who and what are behind the sprawling criminal network that is causing so many problems.

Unfortunately for Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu’s characters, they are quickly realizing that this is no easy task. The two have a difference of opinion as per the sneak peek below when it comes to identifying suspects, and we imagine that this could just be scratching the surface of their problems.

While we would not expect to see Natalie Dormer as Moriarty herself in the finale, Joshua Vikner seems to have picked up her baton, and he will be one of the main forces for conflict in the final hour of the spring. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Rob Doherty promises that we will get to see a somewhat-different side of Holmes and Watson play out:

“They’re going to recognize him as a unique threat … They will come at him in very unorthodox ways. To a certain extent, they’re fighting fire with fire in the finale. They’re not exclusively detectives.”

One way or another, we imagine that this finale will help to set up in part what the fifth season could look like. We certainly think there will be a few surprises, and who knows? Maybe we’ll get to see Moriarty again at some point in the coming year.
