‘Fear the Walking Dead’ season 2, episode 5 preview: Strand, Madison clash over Nick

What is the true potential of Nick on “Fear the Walking Dead“? It’s a worthy topic for discussion, and it’s certainly something that the sneak peek below for Sunday night’s new episode is eager to dive into further.

In this clip, Strand makes it very clear to Madison that Nick has great potential in this world, and he can be used in a variety of interesting ways to further his cause. Unfortunately for him, this is not something that Madison wants to hear. She is eager to do her part to protect him, and of course we understand why that is given that she cares for him, and doesn’t want to see anything at all happen to him.

As for who is going to win out when it comes to handling Nick, it’s hard to say for now. The reality is that one way or another, he’s going to have to prove himself useful in this world. If Strand needs him to help ensure that the group gets to Mexico, then it’s something that needs to be done. If Nick’s not tested further now, won’t he just be down the road? While some of these characters may not realize it yet, the world’s not getting better anytime soon. The people that are probably going to survive in the long-term are the ones who understand more of how to make it through hardships and obstacles. Rest assured, there are plenty of these still to come this season.
