We certainly feel for Edison in the sneak peek below for Thursday night’s new episode of “Scandal.” After all, this is someone who wants to be President of the United States, but is feeling some serious opposition when it comes to one key subject: Who his running mate will be.
Edison meets with Jake in the sneak peek below to seemingly tell him that after some consideration, he’s decided to not make him his running mate for the upcoming election. Here’s the problem: Jake doesn’t want to hear it. He makes it clear in return that Edison really has no control over the matter, and that he and Eli are going to basically puppet him to the White House and beyond.
Does Edison respond particularly favorably to this news? Not exactly, but how could you expect him to? Nobody wants to hear that they are some sort of political patsy. The bad news for Edison right now is simply that he does not know entirely who he is messing with at the moment. Eli and Jake do have a tendency to get whatever they want, at least when it comes to this particular sort of thing. There’s still no guarantee that they end up winning the election, since there is a lot of other competition out there.
Elsewhere in this episode, be prepared for a showdown like no other when we see if a team-up between Olivia and Abby will lead to putting a dent in the armor of one Hollis Doyle, who ended up winning Florida without the endorsement of the Governor.
