‘Gilmore Girls’ revival books ‘Scandal’ alum Dan Bucatinsky

The cast for the upcoming “Gilmore Girls” four-part revival on Netflix continues to expand, and in the process it is certainly getting more and more impressive.

For some further evidence of this, just look at who is on board next in Dan Bucatinsky. In the photo below on his Instagram page, you can see the the writer / actor (known for playing the now-deceased James on “Scandal”) is aboard the project in some sort of currently-mysterious role. We know that he is appearing alongside series lead Alexis Biedel, but for the time being that is all that we can take from this.

Ultimately, what we do know is that Netflix and show creator Amy Sherman-Palladino deserve some medals for the talent that they have been able to assemble for this project. Of course, they’ve been able to get back such amazing talent like Biedel, Lauren Graham, Jared Padalecki, and even Melissa McCarthy, but they’ve also got some actors new to the franchise to stop by. One such other name is Sutton Foster, who worked previously with Sherman-Palladino on “Bunheads.”

There is still no official premiere date for the “Gilmore Girls” revival to start streaming, but most indications at the moment suggest that it is going to start streaming a little bit later this year. Rest assured that as soon as we know this (or as soon as we know really any more casting news), we will have it for you here.
