‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: Show boss on Joe, Henry Allen, and Harry’s debate

FlashThe second season of “The Flash” is getting closer and closer to its big showdown between the title character and Zoom, but before we roll around to that, it is pretty clear that there is one other matter that needs to be attended to: Getting Barry his powers back. At the end of this past episode, we saw Harrison Wells come up with quite an interesting suggestion in order for it to happen: Creating a new particle accelerator incident, and then seeing ultimately what transpires from there.

However, not everyone else is going to share this same sentiment as to what is the best thing to do for Barry. For example, Henry Allen (back for Tuesday’s episode) won’t be so thrilled about his son putting his life on the line. However, the same cannot be said for Joe, who will actually support him through this. Speaking on the matter to TV Guide, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg passed along the following message:

“Once Barry decides to do something, Joe doesn’t think that he can be dissuaded. … That’s the Barry that Joe has come to know, love and respect.”

Will Henry eventually come around? It’s at least possible, if for no other reason than that he probably will realize in due time that Barry is going to make this decision regardless of what we thinks. We do still hope that in one way or another, Henry does have a big role to play. We have wondered if his Earth-2 counterpart is the Man in the Iron Mask, but we don’t quite know why that would be the case other than that it’d make for a cool reveal.
