Is there a good chance still for more “Supergirl” on CBS? While nothing has still been confirmed one way or another, it is starting to look more that the network is leaning towards giving it a green light for some more stories.
Per a report from Variety, odds are extremely likely that the Melissa Benoist superhero show to get another shot. While the ratings apparently are below what some early expectations were for the show, the reality still is that this was one of the most-popular new series on the network; also. the crossover with “The Flash” have proved further to the network that there is value with crossing this show over with some entries over on The CW. If they do that further, it could boost the ratings even more.
It would probably feel a little bit stranger that “Supergirl” has not been renewed were it not for a look elsewhere on the CBS schedule. After all, the entirely of their new shows are still awaiting their future fate. The odds for this show are higher than that of “Limitless,” “Code Black,” or “Rush Hour,” and we figure that the network has to bring something back. “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” is a little bit of an unknown quality, since ABC Studios is a co-producer and we don’t know how CBS feels about it entirely at the moment.
Trust us when we say that we’ll have some other news on both this show and its renewal prospects as we get further and further along into May sweeps!
