ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8, episode 20 video: Castle, Beckett, and a ‘Much Ado About Murder’ investigation
Monday night marks another new episode of “Castle” in “Much Ado About Murder,” and based on the latest information that we have now, this could be a rather surprising case … especially in terms of where we end up finding Rick’s own mother Martha.
First, let’s focus on the start of the sneak peek below, which features Beckett wondering why there is such a heavy media presence at a crime scene for the death of a major Hollywood actor, who was working in an off-Broadway production. Also, why in the world is Rick listed as leading the investigation? We’re not quite sure that Nathan Fillion’s character has the best answer when it comes to that, but he does do an effective job dancing around many of the other questions that come flying his and Esposito’s way. Specifically, they blame the media on a stalker paparazzi following them into the crime scene.
Most evidence eventually leads them to a mystery location where some rather “discreet” meetings are held, only to realize that Martha is staying in one of the rooms! Of course, we don’t think that she is involved in a murder by any means, but we do imagine that she will have a rather creative explanation for this.
We’ve stated this on several occasions now, and we really do hope that these final episodes for Stana Katic turn out to be entertaining and a nice showcase for Beckett. It’s our job to cover the show, but at the same time it’s certainly been the best when she is a big part of the story.

I’m glad to see that Kate shares a little time in this episode. With only three episodes left the show runners had to get the slate cleaning in high gear. Does Rick get kidnapped and Kate go looking for him? What will Ryans daughter, Sarah Grace be wearing at aunt Kates Funeral, I’m sure it is not the sunflower dress. I wonder if ABC will ever figure out what they are losing, so sad. This show would of gone on for many more seasons if it only it had two good show runners. Speaking of show runners, what did Mr. Winter mean when he stated season 9 will start with a clean slate. By really clean does that mean he and Hawlely are gone? They have been working on getting rid of Kate since episode 2. When I was a young teenage in the 60’s I watched a lot of Disney, and it opened with ” When you wish upon a Star” . With that did our show runners wish come true, NO More Kate? It is hard to figure out what ABC Corp is thinking, with the polling that they did stating 85% to 88% of the fans will not watch a Beckett less Castle, and pissing off 95%, just cancel the show and save the money. If money is what it is really about. So us die hard fans will watch these last 3 episodes, and forget that ABC is trying to sell us on Beckett less. If ABC was smart they would do what it takes to bring Stana back for season 9, 13 episodes and let the fans have a good positive ending. But I’m bad, I kept forgetting that ABC does not care about fans. And Walt rolls over one more time. And what does the Ladies on the View think of this whole mess? They are always talking about legal pay for women and anti bullying.
