‘The Blacklist’ season 3 spoilers: Finale hints at shocking betrayal

The Blacklist logo any seasonJust in case any of you were wondering whether or not Liz Keen was going to show up alive prior to the May 19 finale for “The Blacklist,” we’ve got a little bit of an update for you now: It’s not going to happen. Based on the new information that we have, the NBC show is going to be keeping you in the dark until at least that time.

Today, we’ve gotten a chance to see the full synopsis for “Alexander Kirk: Conclusion,” which is the second part of a two-part installment that focuses on the title character, a significant threat from Reddington’s past who surfaces at an inopportune time. The synopsis below offers up a little bit more when it comes to information:

“As Reddington (James Spader) and the task force close in on the person responsible for Liz’s death, a shocking betrayal leaves them racing to save one of their own.”

Is it possible that the finale ends on a cliffhanger? We almost certainly believe that it will, especially when you consider the questions surrounding whether or not Liz is actually gone from this world. We would be shocked if Megan Boone does not turn up in some form, even if it is something that she pre-taped at the same time she was filming her final episodes weeks ago. Maybe we’ve just become so conditioned that people who are “dead” on these shows aren’t really, especially when there is not much in the way of exit press out there from her.
