‘Blue Bloods’ season 6, episode 22 (finale) spoilers: ‘Blowback’ tests Tom Selleck, cast
While “Blue Bloods” season 6 has dealt with personal crises and a variety of issues for some of its characters, we have a feeling that the most dramatic stuff is still to come. For some further evidence of this very thing, we come bearing some details regarding next week’s finale entitled “Blowback.”
Based on the synopsis below, this will be a storyline that tests all of the NYPD in some very different ways, especially when it comes to the way in which a grand jury handles the case of a police officer shooting a teenager. It’s a hot-button issue, and is certainly the sort of thing that the show has not shied away from in the past. Take a look at the attached synopsis below for some further insight:
“Frank, the Mayor, Erin and the DA’s office contend with public outrage after a grand jury doesn’t indict an NYPD officer for the controversial shooting of a teenager that was caught on video. Also, when an officer is shot in what seems like retaliation, Danny and Baez go on a manhunt for the suspect.”
Through this story, we hope to see some strong performances, but we would honestly be surprised if there is any sort of major cliffhanger ending. After all, “Blue Bloods” is really not a show that tends to build currency off of these sort of things. They are more likely to tie things up neatly, and then dive in with some new action when we get around to season 7 in the fall.
