NBC’s ‘The Voice’ results: Will #VoiceSave help Daniel Passino, Owen Danoff stay alive?

VoiceTonight, the top 11 contestants on “The Voice” are becoming the top 10, and there’s a little bit of drama this time around. For one, we’re not facing a situation where there are people who finished in the top 10 on iTunes and could be pretty much guaranteed safety. There is an air of unpredictability tonight, though on the surface we’d say that Owen Danoff and Daniel Passino are probably the two guys in the most danger.

The first two artists declared safe during the show were Mary Sarah and Nick Hagelin, with the latter being a mild surprise given that he was barley in the top 100 on iTunes last night. We thought he’d be saved to be in jeopardy until the end. The next two people declared safe were Laith Al-Saadi and Alisan Porter, and there’s clearly not as much of an element of surprise present here. Hannah Huston quickly joined them, and then also Paxton Ingram. These two charted well on iTunes, and also gave memorable performances. There was nothing at all to be shocked about here.

In the end, we turned out to be right: Daniel and Owen were the two artists in the most danger, and therefore in need of the Save.

Out of the two performances, we personally felt as though Daniel Passino gave the better one tonight. If nothing else, he was a little more consistent tonight. Plus, it felt like Owen may have actually forgotten his lyrics. We like his music better, but that may be a bridge too far.

In the end, Daniel was saved! No surprise here, but congrats.
