‘Reign’ season 3 spoilers: Can Mary find her way back to Scotland?
The third season of “Reign” is returning after an incredibly-lengthy hiatus on Monday night, but what’s coming up beyond that? We want to offer up at least a few more details on that particular subject today.
Let’s begin by dishing out episode titles! “No Way Out” is the name for the next new installment, and judging from the official synopsis below, there’s going to be quite an enormous struggle awaiting the Mary character as she tries to figure out how to get back to Scotland:
“Mary (Adelaide Kane) might have to sacrifice her cousin’s life to save her own, as she and Gideon (Ben Geurens) find themselves in unchartered emotional territory. Catherine’s (Megan Follows) past returns to haunt her, while Lola (Anna Popplewell) and Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten) become unlikely allies.”
Sacrifice is something that Mary should at least know some about at the moment, given the overall direction of this series so far. Yet, there are still elements of it that are difficult for her, much in the way that they would be for any person out there breathing with a conscience. It’s incredibly difficult to feel good about something when you are causing death elsewhere, even if you think you are acting out of the greater good.
Ultimately, it’s pretty clear that this is going to be a supremely emotional hour of the show, and we’re going to have so much more in the way of updates as we get closer to it airing. We’ll be back Monday (of course) with some further news regarding “Succession.”
