‘Legends of Tomorrow’ spoilers: When will Hawkgirl, Hawkman meet again?

When we saw Carter Hall killed off very early into the run of “Legends of Tomorrow,” one thing was made very clear: It was far from the last of Falk Hentschel we were going to see on the show this season. That’s what happens when you have time-travel as the basis of your series, and you also happen to have a person like Carter who reincarnates over the course of history.

We’ve already seen the character otherwise known as Hawkman in flashbacks, and now, we’re getting set to see him once more in the future. The synopsis below for the May 12 episode entitled “Destiny” makes it clear that Carter is going to surface again, and that does raise some questions as to what his presence could mean for all of the rest of the cast (especially Ray, given what we’ve seen from them lately):

“Being in the vicinity of the Time Masters leaves Rip (Arthur Darvill) and Rory (Dominic Purcell) incredibly disturbed for very different reasons. Meanwhile, Sara (Caity Lotz) takes over the Waverider, Kendra (Ciara Renée) is reunited with Carter (guest star Falk Hentschel) and Snart (Wentworth Miller) decides he might be a hero after all.”

Now that we think about it, maybe we’re really burying the lead here: How cool does Sara commanding the Waverider sound? In the event that Darvill is not a part of season 2 for whatever reason (we do hope he returns), we know that there is a way to ensure that the central conceit of the story keeps going.
